- The I race was held on Sunday July 2, 2000.
- The first three racers, provided they run the Half Marathon under 1h and 15' for men and 1h and 30' for women,
had guaranteed access to the 2000 New York City Marathon by kind permission of The New York Road Runners Club.
Travel and accommodation expenses in New York City had also been covered.
- The winner had received the Fred Lebow Award to honor the memory and the fight against brain cancer of Fred Lebow,
one of the founders of the New York City Marathon.
Other awards were also be given to the participants of both the competitive and the non-competitive races.
